The López Garrido TFM140 tractor PTO forestry mulcher is built for heavy-duty clearing and maintenance of forested land, where vegetation and branches are tougher than ordinary grass or brush. It shreds branches and wood up to 18 cm in diameter, making it suitable for clearing forest edges, abandoned land or plantations requiring brush clearing.
The frame is built from Strenx/Hardox steel, materials with high yield strength used specifically for implements working in demanding conditions. The 365 mm diameter rotor has a depth limiter that controls how deep the hammers cut into the vegetation. The 32 fixed forestry hammers are hardened, and the 3 rows of Hardox counter-knives complete the fine shredding of the material.
Side transmission runs through 4 XPB belts, and the freewheel gearbox with 1"3/4 Z6 shaft operates at 540 rpm. The driveshaft is reinforced, built for heavy loads and intensive use. The rear gate is hydraulic, front protection is included, and the height-adjustable skids allow precise control of the working height above the ground.
It attaches to the tractor via the Cat II linkage and requires a tractor power of 50 to 100 HP. Integrated toolboxes on the frame keep maintenance tools within reach in the field.
