The Meccanica Benassi TR 900 Idro vegetation mulcher is the top model in the TR series, with the widest working width — 90 cm — and hydrostatic transmission with continuous speed variation from 0 to 6 km/h. It is built for farmers and professional operators maintaining large vegetation areas on difficult terrain who need maximum productivity, operating comfort and precise speed control.

Compared to the TR 800, the TR 900 Idro offers a 15 cm wider working width, 44 Y-type blades (versus 36), twin 4.00-8 tractor wheels for superior stability and traction, and a 900 mm external track width — making it more stable on sloped terrain and uneven surfaces.

The Hydro-Gear BDU hydrostatic transmission with continuous variation replaces the mechanical gearbox — speed adjusts smoothly between 0 and 6 km/h without gear steps, like an automatic machine. You start smoothly, accelerate progressively and reverse direction without jerking. This reduces operator fatigue on large areas and allows precise speed adaptation to vegetation density.

Independent steering friction on the drive wheels with locking allows precise turning without lifting the machine. The handlebar is adjustable in all positions. The 44 Y-blade rotor runs at 2,800 rpm in the reverse direction of travel — at 3 km/h it covers 2,700 m² per hour. Cutting height adjusts between 20 and 80 mm. The blade brake stops the rotor immediately upon release of the control.
